I have Zone alarm firewall AVG Antivirus both r free edition r fully updated. I have NTFS file system on all hard drives.
Sometimes the firewall turns off on it’s own i have to restart the firewall to make it active.
I also use utorrent i have allowed the firewall to allow Only Access to the net but not to act as server.

i guess i am looking for a distro with ndiswrapper support built in and can function as the firewall. so far mandriva is the only one i found, but its way too bloated and i found that it crashes on me about once a week

Someone said that firewall may be the reason that I can’t connect to skype on my computer and I really want to. I have tried going to control panel and I can’t find firewall there to remove. Any other ideas as to why I can’t connect to skype? The boxes just disappear while I am making my account.Let me KNow!! thanks

I removed Norton Internet Security after the subscription expired. I enabled Windows Firewall from the control panel. However there is no indication that Windows Fire wall is running. Thre are no message or dialog boxes or icons in the task bar notification area indicating that Windows Firewall or Windows Security Center is running. There are icons in the notification area for Norton Protection center and Norton Anti-Virus. The Norton Protection Center Indicates: Advanced Firewall Protection … Not Available.
Security Center (accessed from control panel) indicates that Firewall, automatic updates and virus protection are on. But shouldn’t there be an icon in the task bar notifification area?

I have no idea what it could be everytime i run limewire pro yes i even pay for it and it still dont work it comes up with it can not start lime wire because of firewall or something about a loopback on a machine or something like that please help
