I just moved into a new apartment complex at college and I am unable to use limewire or morpheus to download songs. Is there anything I can do about this?

I’m trying to connect my Wii to the internet but keep getting an error message when it is testing the connection. I have a Netgear CG814WG ver .2 provided by RoadRunner… How can i disable the firewall on my Netgear and what do i do next to get my Wii to connect? Has anyone been able to connect with this same router?

Everything is faded and it stuck on off, so I have that red x on the bottom right, I have no firewall now and I need only Windows Firewall, the one I started with computer but its gone by accident.

and that thing on services in administrator tools, firewall is on automatic.

and when I try the enable now it says try turning on firewall myself in the control panel, but its all faded

A friend has a sidekick and he can go thru the school’s firewall, but when I connect to the school’s wifi with my Ipod touch I can’t go thru it? so how can my friend go thru the firewall and how can I go thru it?

It has worked in the past. I just installed the latest version which came with my ISP–now I can’t view the web cam from my contacts. The error message I get says I can’t view the web cam because I am behind a firewall and I should adjust the XP Firewall settings. I turned off Windows Firewall to use McAfee. Help me McAfee users, please!
I guess I should have mentioned–Yahoo! Messenger is on my trusted sites list so I don’t get a flag from McAfee when I attempt to view someone’s cam, just the error message as I mentioned.

We have a laptop and desktop- both used for business and personal use.
We would like to have a wireless home network, with our printer, so the desktop and the laptop can connect to the same thing, with our printer.
We were thinking something along the lines of two user profiles- one business and one personal- and both computers can connect to each of these profiles, and the files can be sort of ’synchronised’ whenever the laptop is in range- incase it has been taken away from home for business use.
We have a wireless firewall router. One of the two printers is wireless (bluetooth) and the laptop is bluetooth, if that makes any difference.
The only problem is we have no real idea how to do this! Is this possible? Mail me with step by step instructions if the answer thing is not sufficient.
Any thing would be a great help!

I have already added LimeWire as an exception to security program. How do I add UDP and TCP ports as exceptions in firewall? Also, is there anything that can still potentially be blocking the connection.

Tell me anything to get LimeWire to work that is not already on their help website.

We have 2 computers connected by a crossover cable, which are both connected to a able modem. We are planning on buying a laptop soon, so we want to go wireless. We really need to beef up our firewall. What equipment should we buy to implement a hardware firewall?

I uninstalled Comodo Firewall (freeware) and it states that both report that they are turned on. Why is Windows still recognizing Comodo as still turned on, and why is Windows still recognizing Comodo as firewall protection?
