I currently have Norton Internet security, but I’m planning to switch to another company. Are there any 3 in 1 programs which provide complete protection that some of you have had success with?
Also, I’m looking for answers from people who are currently using the programs they are recommending, rather than just a referral to different websites that offer many choices. Thanks

Veronique

I disabled WinXP firewall, but when Blizzards Downloader for WOrld of Warcraft game downloads patches for me, it does fine for a lil bit, then the green light switches to yellow, and displays the message, You appear to be behind a firewall. How can i be behind the firewall, if i have disabled it?! Is there anyway to disable it more or remove it? I have no care in the world that my computer is at risk, i just wanna use it to do what it can do best, play vid games!

I want to make sure my computer is as safe as I can make it. I always took it for granted that it had a firewall through explorer but I don’t know.
I went to toolsinternet optionsconnections and there were no properties to go to advanced. My connection is a DLS.

I recently bought a Nintendo USB Wi-Fi connector to use with my Wii, but when I try a connection test on my Wii, it comes up with an error message

Error code: 51340. Unable to connect to the internet. Choose Internet settings and then confirm your selection.

I use the Zone Alarm Firewall and have allowed the Wi-Fi program that installed with the connector to access the net. When I turn off the firewall, it works perfectly! Obviously, this isn’t ideal, using the internet without a firewall is just plain silly. What do I need to do to my firewall to let my the program connect? Please help!
(In response to question below)

The Windows firewall is turned off (it’s rubbish anyway) but thanks.

I’m trying to download World of Warcraft and the patches, but it’s taking forever because the downloading program says that I’m behind a firewall. I’ve turned off Windows firewall and Nirton firewall already. Is there another firewall I don’t know about or another way I can get the download program to recognize that I am not behind a firewall?
