MSN Live Messenger wont install in my PC because of my firewall?

I have Symantec AntiVirus and I’m guessing that it is not allowing MSN to to work. Every time I try to sign in it says that my firewall might be blocking the Messenger. How can I fix this please help.

    I **** norton beause it stops alot of progs I suggest ussing avg 8. if you go to you can get avg free try it it is a great antivirus program it will u to get it
