Is there a program you can use to connect to MSN Messenger without downloading the program, or overrunning the server firewall?

is xp’s firewall good enough with avg antivirus?Or should i get another one?I have used zone alarm firewall but that thing is pretty hefty on the ram. Comodo is nice. But what works with avg antivirus?Thanks much!

I started downloading WoW off of the Blizzard website and it initially said the download would take about 5 hours. After checking on it about an hour into the download, it said the download would take a crazy amount of time, something like 23 hours. It also said this was because of my firewall. So, how would I go about disabling this firewall, and is it safe to do so?

I am debating electronic health records and I always compare the banking system with hospitals. I am saying why can’t we have a secure electronic health record system for hospitals especially when banks are doing it every day? I have only heard of Citrix firewall for government and others, are there any more companies that make firewalls for banking systems, credit card systems, or any other system that need to be secure 24 hours a day?

There are about 50 or so protocols in my options of allow/deny and under the normal setting I cannot get file/printer sharing to work. I disabled the firewall temporarily and I could share the folders and printer so I know that is the source of my problem. Any idea where I can start to look?

i have windows xp and i uninstalled windows one live care and i went to my control panel and checked my security center and it says windows one live care’s firewall is off but i dont have windows one live care anymore!? before i installed the trial( i installed the trial) it said windows firewall is on.

Also on the security center it says the Anti-virus program is off because it says it has multiple antivirus programs that are disabled or turned off.

Can someone please help me with any of these two or both?
